SMS / Text Message Program Terms

Optional, transactional compliance-deadline alerts for account holders. No marketing or promotional texts, ever.

Roadworthy HQ offers an optional SMS alert program for existing customers. It sends short text reminders when a time-sensitive Department of Transportation compliance deadline is approaching — the kind of deadline that carries an out-of-service or audit risk if it slips. Enrollment is never required to use or purchase the Service.

How recipients opt in

Opt-in happens on a web form inside your Roadworthy HQ account, at Settings → Notifications. You enter your own mobile number and must affirmatively check a consent box that is unchecked by default. The box reads, verbatim:

After you check the box and submit, we send a one-time passcode by SMS to the number you entered. The number is enrolled only after you type that passcode back into the form — so every enrolled number is both consented and verified as belonging to the person enrolling. Because the live form sits behind account sign-in, the exact opt-in card is reproduced below as it appears in-account:

Program details

  • What you receive: transactional compliance-deadline reminders only — for example, a driver medical certificate expiring, a post-accident testing window, an electronic logging device (ELD) authorization revoked, or an MCS-150 biennial update coming due. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
  • Message frequency: frequency varies and depends on your own compliance deadlines. Many customers receive only a handful of messages a year.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier's plan. Roadworthy HQ does not charge for the alerts.
  • Opting out: reply STOP to any message to opt out. We send a single confirmation and no further messages unless you re-enroll. You can also turn alerts off any time under Settings → Notifications.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message, or contact support@roadworthyhq.com.
  • Carriers: supported carriers may vary, and message delivery is subject to your carrier's network. Roadworthy HQ is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your data: we do not share or sell the mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information you provide to any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy, Section 12.
